Magnolia Pictures: Kokomo City

Last week we had the privilege of screening Kokomo City at the IFC Center in New York City alongside Magnolia Pictures for the film’s premiere night.

We created the concept Hotel Kokomo to bring folks into a night of joy to screen the documentary by D. Smith, followed by a talkback with D. and the film’s participants, moderated by Yaminah Mayo. Bellhops welcomed guests into the theatre, which was adorned with custom branded hotel hang tags and keychains. A photo moment allowed guests to sit amongst aesthetics pulled from the film to capture the night.
