Showtime: The Chi, season 4

The Chi is a compelling coming of age series based in the south side of Chicago. To celebrate season 4, we revisited The Chi Is Why series and created a mailer as vivid as the city + the people it was made for. For the mailer, artwork by Nikko Washington acts as the skin of the box, filled with gifts that represent the heart of the series. Each mailer included a mirror with an inscribed excerpt from Joshua Bennett’s poem “Black Love Litany,” a keepsake note from Lena + The Chi, and framed artwork featuring works by Graffiti Egypt, Fahamu Pecou, and Adrienne Muse. Together, we rise. Tune in this Sunday for the season premiere of The Chi, on Showtime.

To expound on key themes the show, we brought back The Chi Is Why. The extension is a content series on Instagram that we created + produced to recruit thought leaders to speak about their craft through the lens of ‘The Chi.’ This year, we introduced Kandi Burruss, Jacob Latimore, Kier Gaines, Charity Croff, Gabrielle Alexa to the series, and welcoming back Tabitha Brown and Wyclef Jean.
